POLITICALLY CORRECT

Don’t say what you want, you may offend

Don’t do what you want, it all may depend

Make others give up what they all believe

A world of harmony is what they conceive

Make sure we are letting all, sensor all

So we must get rid of anyone short or anyone tall

Make sure that no one alone can stand out

Make sure we are all equal, no one should have clout

Keep everyone striving for complete mediocrity

Heaven forbid someone is better than me

No one should work harder than the rest of us do

If someone gets ahead they must not have a clue

Make sure we arrive at the finish in mass

None should be second, no lad or no lass

In fact let’s drop all these lad and lass terms

They divide us into sexes; we should be more like worms

Worms carry both sexes so all are the same

We would not have to play the boy and girl game

We could all just slither by in our new found exactness

All achieve the same level; there is nothing to distract us

Don’t tell a joke or make fun of another

It just is not right to laugh at a brother

Keep your pace even it’s not good to get ahead

Remember we must all sleep on the same firmness of bed

And think of the good if we all were so equal

We could make movies just once, no need for a sequel

In fact we’d all know what our neighbor would do

With interaction not needed there’s no fear of bird flu

Just sitting at home being just like the rest

No longer the pressure to keep doing your best

Do just what it takes to eek out a living

If it doesn’t get done, all will be so forgiving

No worries ‘bout tomorrow it just doesn’t matter

We’ll just sit here, eat and keep getting fatter

Since no one is judging, who gives a rip

This journey called life would be the easiest trip
